Mr. Sota OUK

Engineering Consultant

Sota is an engineering specialist at BNG Legal and an active member of the Engineering Professional Association in Cambodia. He has been a senior lecturer in Engineering Science at several private universities in Phnom Penh.

Mr. Sota holds a Masters in Engineering Science from the University of New South Wales in Australia; and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at the Institute of Chamcar-Daung in Cambodia. He holds multiple certificates in IT, Development Planning, Project Formulation & Evaluation, Ground Improvement Techniques & Technology Transfer for Soil Engineering, and Road Construction Technology from countries as diverse as Thailand, Australia, and Japan.

Prior to becoming a consultant, Sota qualified as a General Manager of PISNOKA; Project Manager of B.N. Consult; Project Manager for constructing a Buddhist Centre in Australia; Planning Manager for construction equipment engineering at the cooperation office between UNDP/OPS and the Department of Roads and Bridges in Cambodia; and Technical Advisor to the Ministry of Public Works and Transports.

Presently, Sota is a senior engineering consultant working in many public projects funded by the ADB, World Bank, JICA, bilateral government agreements; and other private investment projects in Cambodia.

Sota specializes in civil engineering in constructing roads and buildings, project cost & management, monitoring & evaluation, resettlement, and land survey & development.
