Mrs. Thida PEUNG is an associate attorney in the Litigation Department of the BNG Legal. Thida is an attorney admitted to practice law in Cambodia since 1997. She is a Governing Council Member of the Bar Association of the Kingdom of Cambodia (BAKC). She is also a member of the Law Drafting Commission in the BACK. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) from the University of Law and Economic Science in Phnom Penh, and a CAPA (Certificat d’Aptitute la Profession d’Avocat) from the Cambodia Bar Association. She holds Certificates in Land & Contract Law (awarded by the University of San Francisco in Cambodia), Human Rights Law (issued by the UN Human Rights Center in Cambodia), Collateral & Banking Law, Professional & Ethic Law (awarded by the Federal Bar Association of Japan), and Civil & Criminal Procedural Laws.

Thida was a legal officer in the Criminal and Civil Inspection Department of the Ministry of Justice of Cambodia. She then became Chief of the Center for Legal Research and Documentation under the auspices of the French Embassy in Cambodia. She also worked for the Organization for Legal Aid of Cambodia (LAC) as Office Chief, where she was in charge of General Litigation Matters. She is also a Legal Advisor for the Organization of Legal Support for Children and Women.

She specializes in civil and criminal cases, contracts, and land law.
