Dr. Naryth H. HEM

Managing Attorney

Dr. Naryth H. HEM is the Managing Attorney of BNG Legal. Naryth is admitted to practice law in the the Kingdom of Cambodia; and he is an international associate member of the American Bar Association; member of LAWASIA; member of the Commercial Law Commission of the Cambodian Bar Association; member of the Working Party on the Accession of Cambodia into the World Trade Organization; and member of the AsianSIL. He is also a member of the Private Sector Forum in dialogue with the Royal Government of Cambodia. Naryth sits as an arbitrator at the Cambodian Arbitration Council, and is an advisory member for a number of important business and professional associations in Cambodia.

Naryth holds an LL.B from the Joint-Law Program by the San Francisco University (USA) and the RULE (Cambodia), and a CAPA (Certificat d’Aptitute de Profession d’Avocat) from the Bar Association of Cambodia. Naryth holds a Doctoral Degree in Medicine from the University of Medicine & Odonto-Stomatology (Cambodia), and Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Charles Sturt University (Australia). He studied economics in Austria and law in Lyon (France) under various scholarships. Naryth has a Diploma in Economic Law from the Royal School of Administration. Naryth also attained a Diploma in Finance under an intensive joint program for Financial Controllers provided by the Development Alternative Inc (USA).

Prior to becoming an attorney, Naryth qualified as a medical doctor and worked as Financial Controller for the Ministry of Economy & Finance in Cambodia. Before co-founding BNG Legal, he practiced law with the Dirksen Flipse Doran & Le (DFDL) and the Mekong Law Group, for many years. As an attorney and legal consultant, Naryth has worked on a wide variety of private projects for major national and international companies operating business in Cambodia, as well as for many public projects funded by the Asian Development Bank and the World Bank. Naryth specializes in investment; project finance; real estate & infrastructure development; commercial & corporate laws; intellectual property rights; and commercial litigation. Naryth brings a deep understanding of contemporary Cambodian law and practice to BNG Legal, with access to a rich and varied network of local gatekeepers.
